Acrylic Carton Tape

Acrylic adhesive carton tapes are widely regarded as the answer for budget-concious buyers.

While this is true, they have added benefits if used in certain environments.

When carton sealing tape will be applied in temperatures between 32˚F and 40˚F, acrylic adhesives will have better holding power. They will also hold better in temperatures between 120˚F and 150˚F.

These benefits may be offset, however, if the tape will be under stress from an over-filled box or other source of pressure on the box flaps. The time required for the adhesive to be absorbed by the box surface is also longer with acrylic adhesive.

Acrylic-backed carton sealing tape is widely used because of its price advantage, and it works extremely well when used in the right conditions.
